Water at a refrigerator's base may have more than one cause. A blocked defrost drain is only one hypothesis and should not be sold as a diagnosis from a telephone description.
What must the equipment assessor identify?
Ask whether the drain path or another appliance part was actually checked and who repairs it. A feed connection and a defrost discharge are different routes; the wording of a work order should say which was found.
How is adjacent flooring accounted for?
The appliance repair may end at the machine. A restoration assessor should explain whether nearby floor and underlayment were examined, and what observation supports drying or removal.
Stay away from the affected area, do not touch electrical switches, outlets or appliances near water, and call a professional. If anyone is in danger, leave the area and call 911.
What can a provisional price not include?
The cost model uses general restoration rates, not appliance repair prices. The written-scope guide helps ask who is responsible for each component.
